Rhytidian

Ritidian is considered the most beautiful and romantic beach of Guam. It is located in a conservation area in the north of the island, or rather, in the territory of the Guam National Wildlife Refuge National Park.

Access to the beach is limited. Getting here is not so easy, but worth it. Not far from it is the largest US military base in the Pacific. It occupies a significant part of the island, the largest of which is located just in the northern region - the most sparsely populated and least visited. As a result, Ritidian Beach has become a fabulous, almost untouched corner of nature.

Ritidian is a few kilometers of unique "star" sand and breathtaking views of the endless sea. The beach is unusually beautiful, and most importantly, truly wild. It is extremely rare to meet people here, so Ritidian always has a great chance to swim only together. A little off the coast you can see tiny tropical fish scurrying between small stones and corals. In order to make out them, you don’t even need a tube and a mask - the water is completely clear.

The beach is open daily from 07:30 to 16:00. Please note that in bad weather (wind, waves, etc.) the gates can be closed even during opening hours.

Fayfay

Moving south of the island along the west coast past the thickets of banana palm trees, you will find FayFay Beach. This private beach is ideal for lovers of a comfortable holiday in the all inclusive format. There is the opportunity to play beach volleyball or soccer, do snorkeling or just soak up the warm and fine, as fine as flour, snow-white sand. Fans of water entertainment will be able to ride a kayak, a banana or a jet ski.

Tumon Beach is not only clean and picturesque, but also very comfortable and safe for families to relax. The bay is protected by reefs, so the sea is always warm and calm, there are no waves here and not at all deep. Fans of quite secluded, but large beaches will be able to find a place they like very close to Tumon - Gun Beach. To do this, just go along the hiking trail a little north, bypassing all the coastal hotels.

The beach is surrounded by picturesque cliffs overgrown with greenery. You can take a little walk along them along the old, but sturdy wooden stairs and enjoy unimaginable views of the Philippine Sea.

The water here is very clean and clear, pale turquoise, but corals are found near the coast. The rich underwater life attracts fans of snorkeling here - there are many fish here, and it is very curious.

If you suddenly get tired of fish and butterflies fluttering over palm trees, and even a tan will be useless, you can play volleyball at a local site or take a couple of great shots from the hills. If you go even further north, you can see the amazing Cape of Two Lovers (Two Lovers Point), shrouded in the ancient legend of the Chamorro - that's what the indigenous population of the island of Guam is called. According to legend, two lovers who were forbidden by their families to live life together, rushed off a cliff to spend eternity together. There is an observation deck on the cape, do not miss the opportunity to admire the island of Guam from a height.

Gan Beach is ideal for large groups and romantics. In the evenings, the Beach Bar, which is near the beach, includes dance music, so if you like parties on the beach, here you are.

Tanguisson

If you go further north, bypassing the Cape of Two Lovers, you will come to another quiet and secluded beach - Tanguysson. On both sides it reliably hides its visitors from prying eyes with green indented rocks descending directly into the sea. The paradise beauty of the local nature and a sense of isolation from the real world made this place very popular.

Untouched soft sands strewn with small shells, and especially the view of the amazing rounded rocks of Mushroom Rocks, which grow out of the water like mushrooms, act hypnotically. The proximity of the reef and the unusually clear water attract scuba diving enthusiasts here - the colorful fish feel quite at ease here and are not at all afraid of unexpected guests.

We recommend staying here until the evening - the sunsets here are perhaps the most impressive.

Other beaches of the island

In the south of Guam, there are good beaches on Cocos Island and in Talofofo Bay, but they are more suitable for surfers, wind and kitesurfers, especially from October to May - in a great season for sports winds.
